Proper Arrangement of Operation Theatre Equipment:
Learn to organize and manage all surgical equipment efficiently.
Operation Theatre Trolley Preparation:
Gain skills in preparing and setting up the operation theatre trolley for various surgical procedures.
Instrument Usage and Sterilization:
- Understand the specific uses of different surgical instruments.
- Master the techniques for sterilizing each instrument using methods like autoclaving and ETO machines.
- Learn the proper handling and operational use of instruments and gadgets during surgeries.
Role of Non-Scrub and Scrub Assistants:
- Assist in operations as a runner and non-scrub assistant, managing tasks outside the sterile field.
- Learn how to scrub with a doctor, including patient preparation and maintaining sterile conditions.
Autoclave and ETO Sterilization:
Operate an autoclave and ETO machine for sterilizing surgical gowns and instruments, and learn how to pack them safely.
Patient Monitoring and Care:
- Monitor patients’ health during surgery.
- Handle patient transfers to and from the operation theatre, including necessary precautions.
- Provide pre and post-operative care, assisting with anesthesia preparation and recovery.
Interpersonal Skills:
Develop the ability to effectively communicate and deal with patients and their relatives.
